Privacy Policy

Overview

Sage ("the App") is developed and operated by Nathan DeNoyelles ("I", "me"). This privacy policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data I Collect

When you use Sage, the following data is collected and stored:

  • Account information — your name and email address, provided via Google or Okta sign-in.
  • App content — habits, calendar events, todos, meal plans, recipes, grocery lists, and daily progress you create within the App.
  • Usage data — AI request counts and token usage for rate limiting and billing purposes.
  • Billing information — Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Payment details (card numbers) are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by me.

How I Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the App's functionality:

  • Displaying and managing your content (habits, meals, calendar, etc.)
  • Powering the AI chat assistant with context about your data
  • Processing subscription billing via Stripe
  • Enforcing usage limits on the free tier

Data Sharing

I do not sell, share, rent, or distribute your personal data to third parties. Your data is only shared with the following service providers as necessary to operate the App:

  • OpenAI — your app content is sent to OpenAI's API to generate AI responses. OpenAI's data usage policies apply.
  • Stripe — billing identifiers are shared with Stripe to process payments.
  • Google / Okta — authentication is handled by these providers under their respective privacy policies.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS infrastructure. Communication is encrypted in transit via TLS. Access to the database is restricted to the application server.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the App's profile settings, or by visiting sage.denoyelles.org/account/delete. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from the database.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
